Rant on - I cannot listen to the Battle Hymn w/o recalling that it was written to celebrate the destruction of the Confederate States of America. The “might makes right” principle was surely vindicated. But, the beginning of the consolidation of power to Washington, DC, is what we got from all that destruction. Rant off.
