While he’s at it, Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton can also run, along with whatever Roosevelts happen to be around. Any Adamses? How about George Jefferson?

I liked Jeb (go ahead and flame me) as a governor, and if Dubya hadn’t been in the White House for eight years, then maybe it’d be a good idea.

Reportedly, Jeb was supposed to be the Bush that ran for President, and was on track to do so. Then, George unexpectedly won the 1994 gubernatorial election in Texas -- and leveraged that into a Presidental run. So, he lapped his brother and got there first.

The funny thing: it was widespread revolt against Clinton that led to the Republicans sweeping into Congress. And it affected all the down-ticket races, including the Texas governor. However, there was one more thing that greased the skids for George:

In 1993, a concealed handgun licensing bill had made it through the Texas House. But, it died in the Senate because Ann Richards said she would veto it. Gun owners had a long memory. I remember bumper stickers that were explicit: "Veto Ann Richards". George promised he would sign it, and he did -- in 1995.

Add “Kennedy” to that list and it’ll over 50 years. Oops, and possibly growing if the clan is still in office or running.

On this issue, I’m with the gays — no more Bush, ever.

I will do everything I can to defeat him in the Primary.

...energy, money,,,whatever it takes.

I have reluctantly voted for both McCain and Romney...but the line stops with another Bush.

I’d rather Jeb than McCain or Romney, but that doesn’t mean I’d vote for Jeb, as I didn’t vote for either of the other two (McCain or Romney, that is—I did vote for each of the other two Bushes—but only once. (I did write in the Pub VP the last two elections—the lawyers can figure it out if it comes down to one vote.)

I’ve been bamboozled twice now, I didn’t want to vote for Romney but did for the sake of defeating Obama. Now we know no matter who runs on the Republican side they can’t and will not win. If its Jeb in 16 I’ll lose no sleep whatsoever in not voting for him.

I wonder how many meals he ate while promising to uphold his oath of office and save Terri Schiavo.
I wonder how many drinks he had while she was dying after he broke that promise.
No, he did not do a very good job.

I’m with you on the SChiavo murder. That was my epiphany moment and realized that govt had no intention of ever doing anything that was good for the people. Laws be damned someone should have stood up for that woman and not let them do what they did to her.

The law was on her side. Judge Greer, Governor Bush, and countless others violated the laws to murder her.
