Although police feared he was heavily armed, the suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings had no firearms when he came under a barrage of police gunfire that struck the boat where he was hiding, according to multiple federal law enforcement officials.

That would explain how the homeowner was able to peek under the tarp and survive to make the phone call...
Names. We want the names of these "officials" on the public record. Otherwise anything said is just a bunch of back stabbing hearsay.
“So howd he shoot himself in the throat?”
He had the gun but then he never did.
i read they killed the officer to get his gun so little brother could emulate his big brother. where did it go? and to repeat how did he shoot himself in the mouth where somehow it went thru his neck not paralyzing him.
He may have shot himself in the throat earlier,
must have been a shock when he realized he was still alive.
Haha, jokes on you.
According to what I have gathered from reports...they had only one pistol and one pellet gun betweeen them. That is the reason that the press has not been shouting about gun control.
It sound like one of the police assumed that movement was a gun and started the shooting..which was stopped by a supervisor ordering cease fire.
I guess the fact that he survived in the boat is an accident.
They NEED it for target practice. Wouldn't it be cheaper just to put laser sights on their firearms?
Plus, anything from the Washington Post on a federal agency has to be viewed through a political filter. They don’t report news, they publish a political interpretation.
Ooops...the very question that lept to my mind. These people don’t even know how to lie.
Now we are getting stories that the younger bomber was unarmed but shot to heck when he was captured. Government officials tell us that the older brother had a “9mm semi-automatic weapon” when he was killed. I wonder.
I am starting to doubt most, if not all that I am hearing.
.....”the suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings had no firearms when he came under a barrage of police gunfire that struck the boat where he was hiding”......
...the victims on the street of Boston didn’t have any firearms on them either...when they came under a barrage of fire, flying “bullits” and smoke from this beast.. and they had no clue it was coming!
This “thing” that’s building of protecting this terrorist murderer is going to get fully out of hand.
They used several flash bangs to disorient the suspect before capturing him. They tore a hole in the tarp, threw each flash bang one at a time and then watched for any movement from fleer in the air or by snipers on rooftops. I heard it all on the scanner.
I don’t know what precipitated the earlier police fire. I did not hear that part on the scanner. I suppose it could have been jumpiness of someone at the time.
Has anyone noticed that there seems to be a news blackout on the firearms used by the bombers.
Normally the police would have an immediate photo op for the press and call for new gun control laws. One would think they would be demanding the SENATE re vote on the AW ban.
So why the blackout? Even some web sites are wondering why we haven’t seen the firearms.
He did not shoot himself, the police shot him.
You might want to check out what these two pulled out from the ‘other’ car....not to mention the bombs throwing out of the car prior...and what the police found in the residence.
When were the infrared photos taken and who took them?
Many of those bullits were false bullits.
Helicopter overhead....
I read that too, but later accounts said the policeman still had his sidearm with him when they found him.
Another inconsistency...if you look at the firefight pictures of the brothers, it’s kind blurry, but it looks like both brothers are shooting at the police indicating that they had at least two weapons. Now, I am hearing they only had one hand gun. Lots of changes to the details of this story.
When? Media or law enforcement?
