The CIA asked the main U.S. counterterrorism agency to add the name of one of the suspected Boston Marathon bombers to a watch list more than a year before the attack, according to U.S. officials.

Massive counter-terrorism fail!!!
BTTT!
EPIC FAIL
Janet said the system worked.
Janet was more worried about turning the DHS into a Lesbian lovefest.
Janet was more worried about turning the DHS into a Lesbian lovefest.
I have heard from several sources that Janet’s DHS has some really weird stuff going on inside of it concerning her treatment of male staffers.....
Almost like how she loves to “dominate and humiliate” them...
I think the CIA statement loosely translates to: “Remember Benghazi? Paybacks are a ....”
Creepy and weird!
I am also utterly disgusted at how eager various (usually anonymous) intel officials are to proclaim that the brothers were “self radicalized” and had no overseas terror ties.... within only hours or days, without any adequate research!!
We simply do not KNOW enough yet, but the idea of accepting the surviving bomber’s hospital statements, or assuming that “absence of evidence provides evidence of absence” shows yet again how piss-poor awful many of our politically correct intel and security people are (when they are filtered and selected by bureaucracies dominated by clones of Obama and Biden et al).
Maybe there are overseas jihad ties, maybe not, but no one can claim at this point to have definitive info AGAINST such ties..... we simply do not know enough.
Media and administration hacks are soooo eager to rule out such ties, when we do not even yet know who the notorious “Misha” is who is said by family to have been key to radicalizing Tamerlan..... and there is so much we do not know. It doesn’t stop politically correct pundits and administration apologists from concocting their webs of misinformation.
Thanks, Baraq, for making this once loyal American a total cynic.
I am having flashbacks to the “Saturday Night Massacre” of 1973.
Getting stranger and stranger. If WP is floating this story...they are saying..look over here...not over there....this is a bigger deal. This government is coming unglued. Constitutional crisis next stop.
They are even talking about Gosnell now to take the heat off the other news. Damage control and furious spin coming down the pike.
Looks like Big Sis will be the fall guy, figuratively and literally
Folks, follow up on the timescale: Tamerlan is said to have returned from Russia in June/July 2012.
Yet, if the CIA added or tried to add him to the terrorism watch list months before then, should he ever have been allowed back into the USA??
Remember that he was on a “green card” so he could/should have been kept out?? Can’t a green card be revoked if someone qualifies for the terrorist watch list??
At the very least he should have drawn close attention from the FBI, and apparently did not.
For one thing, if he was on anyone’s radar, properly, how could it have taken several days until the public circulation of the brothers’ photos??? How could the brothers have remained free so long after the bombings when they were “hiding in plain sight”???
This is a massive, epic counter-intel FAIL on many counts.
I think you’re onto something here......
coulda woulda shoulda
Reminds me of Clinton coming out after 9/11 all “Hey I went after bin Laden, we just missed him but at least I tried blah blah..”
Is there a John Dean somewhere in there?
It also appears there definitely was an individual “Misha” who radicalized the older brother, I thought that was bull but see various people on TV now who met Misha and knew he was the one advising the bomber on Islam the last 4 Years. Many people met this guy.
makes it even worse that the FBI cleared the bomber.
