ATHERTON (CBS SF) – The town of Atherton is sending a bill to the White House, asking the Obama Administration to pay up after a fundraising visit earlier this month.
On April 4th, President Obama attended a morning brunch hosted by Liz Simons and Mark Heising, then a luncheon at the home of Marcia and John Goldman. Those stops were to benefit the Democratic National Committee.
Town leaders want someone to pick up the nearly $8,000 tab for police and other security services required during the visit. . .

What does this say.....none of them are willing to donate the cost? Because none of them are truly democrat liberals.....they actually like their money.
I’ve been to Atherton and it’s quite ritzy to say the least. However, they shouldn’t have to pony-up for the commie, arrogant, narcissistic, socialist, marxist POS.
Maybe next time the local reps of Atherton will tell the punk to stay away from their city.

yes, Atherton is one of the more expensive suburbs of Palo Alto/Sillycon Valley. Obama raises zillions of dollars for a campaign he can’t run in (so he apparently plans to keep most of the loot, natch!). As famous criminal Willie Sutton said when asked why he robbed banks, “because that’s where the money is!”
ps: We taxpayers get to pay for all his AirFarceOne jetting around raising private campaign funds. He gets the $$$. Pretty good deal, eh?

I looked it over several times and concluded that something was missing: neither MLK nor Cesar Chavez Blvd. appear.
The <$2M houses are backed up to the Caltrain tracks... The High Speed Rail (HSR) boondoggle passed by the voters/morons in 2009 will use the CalTrain right-of-way up the peninsula. There has been concern that the existing ROW is not wide enough through Atherton, and that some homes will be seized through eminent domain. While that is seeming less likely, the values of the properties along the tracks lost value compared to s few houses away since 2009. So... Keep an eye out for bargains against the tracks in Atherton ;)
Why doesn’t someone just pull out the pocket change and be done with it?
