I’m curious. How were the cops supposed to know there was ONLY one skinny killer running around?
Seems to me I recall a whole bunch of posts at the time involving rumors of more terrorists involved, even an entire sleeper cell.
Is it beyond reason for LEO to take into account the possibility that the fleeing suspect might retreat to a safe house where more of his buddies were laying in wait?
Also, if the terrorists has your wife and kids upstairs, would you tell the cops at the door he was hiding in your house, or would you tell them all was well in the (slim) hope your family might survive?
They announced they were looking for 2 terrorists and then got into a gunfight with them while one of them ran over his brother and drove away. So they WERE looking for one skinny kid they saw. Thats not up for debate. Then ... they had thousands of police. I am quite confident they could have handled a few more terrorists.
In that video when they knocked on the door and the guy came out with his hands up they could see he wasn’t the terrorist yet as soon as the guy lowered his hands they forced him to raise them again.
My question is how in the hell did the kid get away in a car with all those police around and not be immediately apprehended. It is almost as if the police and FBI were embarrassed he got away and took it out on the citizens.
Holy freaking mackerel, why am I not surprised you would show up a defend this abuse of the Constitution?
Got yer shoe polish handy, don’t forget to spit shine.
What about the rule of law?
What if they decided to increase their search perimeter by a few miles, by a hundred, by whatever it took to get to your neighborhood?
Would you be so understanding?
Let’s for a moment posit the actual existence of said “sleeper cell”.
Did those evacuating houses at gunpoint have any idea who any members of sleeper cell looked like?
Or did they expect the sleeper cell members to be wearing nametags saying “Hi! I’m a member of the sleeper cell you’re looking for!”?
