Ever wonder why the people taking cell phone videos of gunfights aren't themselves hit by bullets? Turns out, there's no good explanation other than dumb luck, because according to the laws of physics, they should be totally screwed.

I ended up in a roach trap near the Oakland Airport. There was so much gunfire I slept in the bathtub with the mattress over the top.

LOL

Thanks for the info. For some reason I was assuming the tarp was cotton or a similar fabric.

You are quite right. Most IR cameras will see right through plastic, even heavy black plastic. OTOH, glass generally acts as a mirror.

I would hope that it was old and extra heavy cast iron tub.
Not a new fiberglass or plastic one.

The only thing I read or heard about their weapons was that they killed the MIT officer in order to get more weapons.

I had a friend come visit me in Atlanta once.
He stayed in a motel on the wrong side of town.
He only stayed one night then went back home.
He said he knew it was the wrong place to stay
when he saw the check in desk was behind two inch
thick plexiglass...

Not AR500 plate but regular steel plate used in construction.

You get bonus points for knowing what abrasion resistant steel plate is.

High capacity cop-killer clips go right through brick.

You left out the rest of the sentence

'when the clip is fastened to a projectile and fired from a 75mm cannon.

“Boy, the guys who film action movies are really lucky...because they hardly ever get hit.”

All too often, the criminal being shot at by the Armed & Dangerous also hardly ever get hit.

Range time is our friend.

Why is it when authorities issue an evacuation order in a coastal hurricane area the press gets to remain in the area? I get miffed when I see storm coverage and you got some turd in a weather channel wind breaker standing in a storm surge in 80 mph winds telling everyone they should leave because it is dangerous.
