This is the big takeaway. America will rue the response of authorities when they shut down the city. Agreed. Boston/Massachusetts just guaranteed this is going to happen again somewhere else.

The second you alter your behavior or allow your government to do it for you, it signals a victory for the terrorists after a terrorist attack.

The terrorists are in charge. Those pressure cooker freelancers? A bunch of amateurs.
I do agree.

"Lesson No. 1: Two amateur terrorists can paralyze a major American city for days." The two who shut down Boston were not the Tsarnaevs, but Patrick and Menino. They are worse than amateur terrorists; they are professional politicians, and pose a much more direct and imminent threat to our way of life than a couple of crockpot wielding muzzies.

we won. How can there ever be total victory over man's inhumanity to man as long as man rules this orb? We can only be satisfied with small wins over evil, we are incapable of ending it.

The superb work of our law-enforcement officials in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing ignited a blaze of self-congratulation that obscured the events implications.Lost me right there. What was "superb" about any of the law enforcement activities?

no dogs were shot...That we know of.
And the cops were able to keep the Dunkin Donuts open during the lockdown, so they got that going for them.

If youre a highly educated, ambitious West European who wants to become an American, your chances are near zero. If youre a radical America-hater from a hostile region, all you have to do is shout that youre a political refugee and well give you residency and benefits. If we still had a GOP instead of a RINO party, they would scream from every roof top about that. But no, as usual the RINOs will cower into a fetal position while the Treason party lets even more of these mutts into the country. A few years ago I drove a taxi in New York city in between jobs, and it is absolutely mind boggling the amount of potential jihadists driving cabs. I would talk to them everyday while waiting for a cab, everything is the fault of the Jews, America is the great killer. Saying all this crap while wearing full Islamic garb. How the F did they get into the country?
