A lot of it was because of the way Romney won the nomination.
He spent megabucks destroying his opposition, and that made enemies of a lot of people who then snubbed him out of revenge. *How* one wins the nomination is as important as winning the nomination. You need to make friends with your opponents after the Primaries if you are to have any hope of winning the General, and Romney never got that.
IOW, winning the Nomination was Romney’s only goal. He never spent any time thinking about what he’d do after that.
Yeah that’s what happened. It ticked me off too he won. What REALLY p*ssed me off was how Herman Caine was destroyed, holy crap did that tick me off. Just absolute mud slinging without a shred of evidence, and NOBODY stuck up for him. It was Clarence Thomas all over again and nobody in the black community said squat. You think they would stand for that if either of those guys were Democrats? Hellll no. Total political bias.
