PHILADELPHIA (AP) A couple serving probation for the 2009 death of their toddler after they turned to prayer instead of a doctor could face new charges now that another son has died.
Herbert and Catherine Schaible belong to a fundamentalist Christian church that believes in faith healing. They lost their 8-month-old son, Brandon, last week after he suffered from diarrhea and breathing problems for at least a week, and stopped eating. Four years ago, another son died from bacterial pneumonia.

Since I believe God heals miraculously, I dont want to insert my sensibilities about doctors, God and healing between a parent and their children. It is common sense to afford an ill person the best medical care available.
Did not God imbue us with common sense?

Seriously, look at the history of “slavery” and the relationship between slave masters and slave in various cultures. And look at the meaning of the words in their original language. The modern “employee” and the “slave” as the word is defined and applied are very similar in some circumstances.
A lot of Americans, when they hear the word “slave” immediately think of the black slavery in the US. That’s like thinking of the Yugo every time you hear the words “horseless carriage”.

Some more than others. However, I’ve discovered in my many years sparring with liberals on the internet that one man’s common sense is another’s folly. It is important to come to a determination of where one believes they should engage the government to coerce the actions of another, via the power of the gun, to adhere to their personal “common sense”.

Prayer is most certainly active. I agree completely.
