2-1/4” is exactly the size of the lockback pocket knife I carry. I have had something like that in my pocket since I was 7 or 8 years old. Always carried it to school after I got my first pocket knife. Thought absolutely nothing of it. And feel as naked without it as I do my keys or my billfold.

I was in the local hardware store buying some supplies. they had a banded pallet of what I wanted on the floor. It had plastic bands on. The employee said he had to go get a knife to cut the bands.

I said wait I have one I pulled out my 4 inch cold steel Voyager flip it open one handed cut the bands closed it one handed and put it back in my pocket all in about 3 seconds.

I looked at him and said whats a man with out a knife. Took my items and went and checked out.
