I think you may have misinterpreted my post.
I was pointing out the hypocrisy of the left, not attempting to regulate pressure cookers, manhole covers, or the like.
But perhaps I didn’t express myself clearly. I am sorry if you got the wrong impression.
And it wasn’t an “REMF” (I had to look it up...such terms are not in my vocabulary) who was quoted. It was a Vet who had been wounded by an IED in Afghanistan, and was on the scene in Boston.
Apologies for lacking clarity. I was not accusing you of pushing for regulation but was complaining about others blabbing to the general public about pressure cookers.
As for REMFs, such troublemaking stories most often come from various, desk-bound, prior officer “experts,” “analysts” and the like, trying to ride some political wave or other. As for manhole and meter covers, under the hysterical circumstances, I’m fine with those being more regulated and priced-up. Like I said, socialists can take the costs out of their salaries. ;-) [All in all, though, I did hold off on exposing anything useful to goons about those covers, even though too many others have been too loose-lipped about pressure cookers.]
