I’m from MA, live less than a mile from where they arrested #2’s friends. I don’t support what Law Enforcement did. They just raped our Constitutional rights. I would’ve made the news because I would’ve refused their search. Peaceably, I wouldn’t have answered the door.
I am not proud to be an American after that display of militarized police. 9,000 cops and a guy smoking a cigarette finds #2. If it wasn’t for the guy who got car jacked leaving his cell phone on in the car the two bombers would’ve completely escaped.
What’s more disgusting 200 rounds fired and #2 runs away and hides. Isn’t there one cop competent with a firearm? I say that from experience, I’ve seen the average cop shoot at the range.
This is a scary precedent set. This will happen again in a town near you. The terrorists are winning. Not only are they creating fear but now our government is. Fear your Government. Love your Country. So sad.
Well, you’re the first.
You're obviously not really from Massachusetts, because our resident bootlick has already assured us that everyone from Massachusetts is fine and dandy with what the police did in Watertown.
FWIW, I agree with you. Frankly, the police response was as bad, if not worse, than the terrorism itself. The terrorism happens, and then is over. This police response sets a precedent that whenever the police think a situation "requires" is, they can carte blanche ignore the Constitution. That's a dangerous precedent to set, one which is ultimately more destructive to the nation than any number of terrorist attacks.
Frankly, any LEO who willingly participates in behaviour like this is an accessory to the terrorists.
