It is nice to ‘win’ one now and then.
I was on my way to a GS baseball game and passed a car that had the following ‘UNBELIEVABLE’ bumper stickers...:
It was a Chevy EQUINOX.
It had a VEGAN sticker.
It had a RON PAUL sticker
IT had an OBAMA IS THE REASON STUPID PEOPLE SHOULDN’T VOTE sticker.
I kind of mentioned it to my Grandaughter (23) and Daughter (48) (I NEVER mention politics etc around them recently, just hope they took my ‘good life hints/advice’).
I think my SIL is ANTI BO based on the ‘old’ reasons, not sure of the D and GD.
Anyhow, I mentioned the stickers and my GD said “that must be an interesting dinner conversation, that ‘impressed’ me, then she started rattling off some of the recent ‘comparisons’ (the bombing is blamed on the bomber, the DUI is blamed on the driver BUT the shooting is blamed on the gun) by now she has my attention and she and her mother started taking ‘potshots’ at BO, sincerely, NOT just for my benefit, also hitting on all the spoons don’t make people fat, etc etc.
It made me very PROUD to be a father and grandfather of those two particular people since I figure they may not be FReepers, though if I steer them this way will probably be ‘lurkers’ - but they would certainly qualify, at least they have the right attitude.
I can think of no other reason why some girls cross huge cultural/racial/ethnic/religous barriers to "be" with a man....
my son married a girl of another race, but its not like he HAD to marry someone different or that she HAD to marry someone different....they dated their own race before hand..
yup spoiled rich girl who never had any education about the great history of this country...
