Federal investigators have begun questioning hospitalized Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and he is responding, according to reports on Sunday night.
NBC News’ Pete Williams reported that Tsarnaev, 19, is beginning to respond to a team of federal investigators mainly through writing. Williams reported that he is being questioned for brief periods and that he has difficulty communicating because of his throat injuries.
Tsarnaev was listed in serious but stable condition at a Boston hospital where he has remained since being detained by authorities on Friday, NBC said. He has been intubated and sedated, according to reports.
ABC News reported that investigators are asking about other possible terrorist cell members as well as about undetected explosives as they attempt to determine the motive for the deadly attack.
It is unclear whether Tsarnaev was read his Miranda rights before the questioning began, although it was expected he would not be under an exception permitted when public safety could still be in danger.
Formal charges against him may be filed Monday....

Hmmm, let’s inventory his real brain dump:
Doesn’t know the real background of the guys who trained him and his brother. They could be anybody.
Doesn’t really know who ordered the attack, just his handler.
Doesn’t know who his handler really reports to.
Doesn’t know what organization is really behind his handler, he’s just been told things.
Has been told he won’t get the 72 virgins and he and his family will suffer excrutiatingly if he rolls over on his handler.
Does not know where the money that funded his toys and the “mission” really came from. Could be from anywhere.
His handlers undoubtedly told him things knowing that they might get revealed, so whatever he knows may be a ruse.
They probably can get his handler’s maybe some other team member’s names out of him and go from there. But invariably the chain will come to one or another intelligence service or agency somewhere around the world, or to a nation or government that would be embarassing, so the investigation would turn politically awkward to pursue.
Bottom line: he should go down for his crime. We’ll all feel good that justice was done at least, and we can stop pulling on that thread that winds up leading somewhere embarassing. Under this regime, however, the little man’s prosecution will probably get fumbled.
As soon as he pays his fine for littering.. or at least signs an IOU for it.
All kidding aside, I do not trust that the public will be told the truth.
When will he suffer a short drop?

Tamerlan Tsarnaev reportedly called his mother as police were shooting at him last Thursday night, shortly before his death.
The Wall Street Journal reports his mother said Tamerlan called her on Thursday night and said, "The police, they have started shooting at us, they are chasing us... Mama, I love you."
"Then the phone went silent," the Journal reports.
UPDATE (7:22 PM EDT):

I think there's good reason for skepticism about this.
One thing, though, if the investigators think there might be some accomplices hiding out right now, they could hope to shake them up by leaking to the press that this little psycho twerp has started talking. It would be worth a shot.
