Kill him. As I would have done knowing who he was and what he did. But I'm from Tx and our laws allow us to. Castle doctrine and fear for our life.

what could they have done differently?Almost everything? I may be reiterating the obvious, BUT THE BOSTON STORM TROOPERS DIDN'T CATCH THE JERK WITH THEIR GESTAPO TACTICS. An ordinary guy found him about 15 minutes after the brown shirts let them out of their houses.
