Then magically minutes after they have finished searching every house they find him where he has been all day and all night long???

This story gets harder to believe by the minute. Putting the reported snippets together, we are told that the homeowner while having a cigarette / walking his dog, noticed something wrong by his boat and spotted blood. He goes and gets a ladder, putts it up to the boat and opens the canvass to see a curled up body covered in blood. The kid does not shoot him, does not try to escape but remains in the boat.

Minutes later, cops arrive & helicopter above using thermal imaging confirms a "moving" body in the boat. Cops decide to ventilate the (estimated 20+ ft) boat with gunfire, then a flash bang and while this is going on the kid shoots himself in the mouth in an attempted suicide. After quiet sets in, the kid climbs out of the boat to be cuffed.

Now, I hate to be a cynic but something smells to high heaven here. Either the cops are lousy shots and just shot out the street lights or were shooting blanks or this kid is the luckiest SOB alive but believable, this story is not.

It was the boat owner’s noticing of a torn tarp that led the boat owner to call police.

A new report says Dzhokhar Tsarnaev shoved his pistol in his own mouth and pulled the trigger as SWAT officers and federal agents closed in on the boat where he was hiding in Friday night. However, instead of killing him, the bullet simply passed through his neck.

I don't think so. If he put the gun in his mouth and fired . . . the muzzle blast would have torn out his cheeks. All pictures show his face intact.

If this guy talks then there is the potential to connect his actions to the Saudis or some other foreign government or terrorist group. Obama’s narrative is that he has kept America safe and that any attackers are of the lone wolf variety, acting on individual impulse but not on the orders of outside forces. Just like he wants us to believe that Benghazi was a mob response to a video.

Assuming that the entire plot wasn't cooked up in the past couple week, of course the kid failed 6 of 7 of his courses at college. Why put in the intense effort required to study and be a good student when you know that you are shortly going to either end up dead or be in hiding? Not to mention the fact that plotting to murder potentially hundreds and hundreds of people would naturally tend to distract one from ones studies and completion of assignments.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was a sophomore at Dartmouth, an Ivy League school. Students who are “dumb as rocks” don't get into Dartmouth. Students who are “dumb as rocks” in their freshman year don't make it to their sophomore year. This retired detective appears to me to be missing some of the obvious clues himself in examining the evidence. Or, perhaps he is part of the Left’s cadre to paint this terrorist as an innocent victim.

UMass-Dartmouth is a Division III Little East Conference school in New Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

Thanks for the correction. Still, my point is the same. I think the detective has jumped to a hasty conclusion based simply on grades. I hope the law enforcement agents on the case are much smarter than him in examining the evidence.
