Bogus and altered quote. Actual quote is from GW's first annual message to Congress, and referenced defense of the nation, not defense of the people against their own government.

I copied it from a history website. I have been fighting for the 2nd for 50 years... I will research the quote further. I did not create it. Those that want to steal our guns hate Washington anyway.
