Don’t Rule Out Anything
Weekly Standard ^ | 4/12/13 | Stephen F Hayes

“In this age of instant reporting and tweets and blogs, there's a temptation to latch on to any bit of information, sometimes to jump to conclusions,” said President Obama, in the late evening of April 19, after Dzokhar Tsarnaev was captured alive in Watertown, Mass. “But when a tragedy like this happens, with public safety at risk and the stakes so high, it's important that we do this right. That's why we have investigations. That's why we relentlessly gather the facts. That's why we have courts. And that's why we take care not to rush to judgment -- not about the motivations of these individuals; certainly not about entire groups of people.”

Fair words of caution. We might all do well, after a week like this one, to take a deep breath and reconsider what we think we know with clear eyes and an open mind.

But it’s equally important not to avoid conclusions about the motivations of these individuals because such conclusions are discomfiting. And it’s especially important not to explain away facts because they contradict assumptions about the threats we face.

Amen to that.

Yes, president hussein’s extremely anxious to avert the public eye from anything that would reflect badly on him and his administration of jerks, losers, and incompetents.

And, for heaven’s sake, do not - under any circumstances - seek to lay any blame at the feet of his countless Moslem pals.

That's why we relentlessly gather the facts.

More like 'relentlessly' suppress the facts as in the case of Benghazi. Whatever Obama says, the opposite is most likely to be true. And the facts of the Boston case will be 'relentlessly' suppressed when they begin to uncover the 'wrong' motivations for these terrorist acts.

That's why we relentlessly gatherBURY the facts. There, fixed it.

“In this age of instant reporting and tweets and blogs, there's a temptation to latch on to any bit of information, sometimes to jump to conclusions,” .

Well, that was certainly the case with the media's extremely POOR coverage and pandemonium during the days following the Boston Bombing incident. No matter which news media or talking head was reporting, the story(s) were all laced with inaccuracies. How could such a “brilliant” group of reporters do so horribly trying to present the facts. Simply, they made most of it up to sell “Breaking News”, much of which, once the dust settled, turned out incorrect.

Shame on all of them for such a crappy job of “reporting”.

We’re already seeing way too much sympathy drummed up for the Joker kid. Like he was magically under his bad dead brother’s spell.

O sure didn’t follow his own “jump to conclusions” advice after Benghazi.

Nice take. Deserves a repeat.

The legacy freak clearly advances Islamic terror, and supports The Muslim Brotherhood and other terrorists with cash and weapons. The freak's sap-happy speech after the surviving bomber was apprehended, cautioned endangered Americans not to "rush to judgement" that diversity was "our strength" (and other sappy nonsense).

IOW...the legacy freak intimated....hey, I gotta get control of the Congress---"diversity" will get Dems reelected. So, you stupid Americans, just relax, kick back, and enjoy it, as the terrorists come to kill you.

All that really ought to matter at this point is that Barack HUSSEIN Obama has FAILED to protect Americans at home and abroad.

It is long past time, to "jump" to a few conclusions, given the current facts.

1) Why did the police involved in the initial shootout in Newtown expend upwards of 200 rounds, but only hit suspect 1 with one raound and suspect two only had several hits? Absolutely incompetent muzzle control.
2) With the wonders of facial recognition software why did the FBI need the citizens' help to determine who these guys were, when the FBI should've had their faces in their database, owing to the fact that they were immigrants?
3) How did the FBI miss the fact that the older brother was a radical islamist given the fact that the Russian government specifically warned us that he was?
4) Why wasn't the older brother deported, as required by Immigration law, concerning his conviction of domestic violence?

At the minimum, heads should roll at the FBI, ICE, DHS, and various other alphabet agencies, and in some cases the negligence was so significant that criminally negligent charges should be brought against those involved in handling the information about the older brother. How is it, with them reading everyone's email, and recording where everyone goes on the internet that they are not able to pick this guy out even though he stood out like a sore thumb?

Did it not seem odd that the parents went back to Russia, even though they sought asylym, claiming to be afraid for their lives if sent back to Russia?
