Gingrich Slams Obama Administration as ‘Pro-Islamic’
WSJ ^ | February 28, 2012 | Danny Yadron

Posted on 04/20/2013 6:43:23 AM PDT by george76

There’s something sick about an administration which is so pro-Islamic that it can’t even tell the truth about the people who are trying to kill us,” Mr. Gingrich said ...

Mr. Gingrich accused the White House of being unwilling to discuss threats from some Muslims. And he slammed President Barack Obama for mounting a “war” on the Catholic Church over contraception but apologize to Afghan President Hamid Karzai over the burning of Qurans.

No, they’re not. There’s reasons why the vote has flipped and unfortunately too many on our side have used anti-Muslim rhetoric and painted a broad brush so they dont feel welcome in the GOP.

The Dems are also masters at motivating and appealing to voting blocks and also keeping them. Very worrying. Jews, Hispanics and African Americans all overwhelmingly vote Democrat.

GOP needs more than just the white vote these days.

I hope you’ll help me build coalitions and find that support.

Most Muslims/Arab Americans work hard are educated, run businesses and are naturally conservative

Only the Arab-Americans who are not obsessed as much with religion and see themselves as American first, Muslim second. Even these Muslims HATE Jews and it depends on the present economy and the candidate. If both candidates have a pro-business agenda they will vote democrat.

Al Gore was not pro-business.

O.K. I thought you were saying that his closeness to Norquist was proof of his real sympathies (Islam), thus putting the lie to his criticism (thus the “whore” label you use).

What you are really saying is that he is saying these things because they are all calculated lies, designed to win him elections, and he may be even a little brave to say them with Norquist around to behead him when he gets a chance. Well, you may be right. You sound like more of an insider than I am, and I have pretty much the same view of Hillary Clinton, for instance. When she speaks, you can almost see the gears turning behind the mask as she tries to calculate the most effective lie to use.

Still, even given this, I liked his effect on this last election. He was able to talk about Food Stamps, the threat of Islam and other important issues in a way that resonated even with the other candidates. His handling of the phony Liberal debate so-called “moderators” helped all of the Republican candidates come off better.

So, if he is the “lying whore” you say he is, I hope he gets a chance to keep “lying” in a lot of the ways he has been. We might get better Conservative candidates with him squawking in the background.

Now way OT, but your list looks funny to me. You may be WAY inside, but why isn’t Rove at the top? You’re saying Norquist pulls more strings? Why aren’t McCain and Boehner higher? How is Gingrich even a factor in the current Republican party, let alone near the top of your list?

If this score-card is how you’re voting, maybe you shouldn’t worry about who I’m voting for.

Jesus (Issa) is considered a great prophet in Islam and will return along with the Mahdi (Islam’s Messiah) to convert or slay unbelievers.

There’s still a perception. Many of them did not like the Iraq war and they dont like the heated rhetoric from our side that too many people are willing to use.

There’s no other reason why its flipped so badly in the last 12 years when they were all Bush voters.

And how much attention did all your years of warnings garner? I seem to recall Newt saying similar in the primaries but cannot recall one other public figure who’s been so outspoken. Perhaps you can tell us who has? And maybe spend a little less time attacking those on ‘our side’ who are speaking out? Would that really hurt?

It’s flipped to NoBama for 3 reasons.

1) because since 2000 there has been a flood of immigrants from that region of the world who come here without owning a business.

2) The GOP has moved left

3) Islam has become more radical and many of these new immigrants who are poor when they come here vote for the anti-Jew pro-hand-out party.

The Muslims you speak of who voted for Bush in 2000 would have NEVER considered Bin Laden as a true Muslim.

Islam has flipped and so has the GOP

The weird thing is the Jews vote for the anti-Israeli Democrat Party and they do it overwhelmingly every year. They’re wealthy liberals and not conservative no matter how much we wish it.

There is no good reason why Muslims should support Obama. They did so because he was seen as being against Iraq war and promised to end it.

I dont believe that theory simply because not enough can naturalize, become citizens and vote within that 12 year period to significantly flip the vote.

Most of them were Muslim Bush voters who flipped to Obama. I doubt new citizens were much of a factor in the vote.

If they were to team up in 2016, Gingrich and Palin would be hard to beat. They are the perfect balance of brilliance, experience, conservatism and big bold ideas. And both Newt and Palin tell it like it is like nobody else can or does. I know some will disagree, but this would be the dream ticket. 8 years of Gingrich. Then 8 years of Sarah.

They voted for Obama in 2012 after Obama's Libya and after Obama's Egypt. We know which way those two nations went.

Sorry but if appeasing radical Islam is the only way to win Obama's Muslims I think you'll have a better chance trying to convince me that we should give Amnesty to all the Mexican illegals in this country.

People who see America as an aggressive nation that is evil will always vote for Obama.

As I said the Dems are very good at hanging on to voting blocks.

See black vote, jewish vote, hispanic vote and now even worse in FL they’ve nearly got the Cuban American vote.

Thank you for the very detailed reply. There are a lot of very interesting figures in there, but I think they may well support the point I was making.

I used the word “Pyramid” on purpose. The Government is running a giant Pyramid Scheme with Entitlements. It REQUIRES the massive imigration and growth numbers you cite to keep the money coming in ahead (or now within borrowing distance) of money going out. I don’t think the people in charge care at all about its long-term survivability. They just don’t want to get caught short, now. When the immigrants get old, they’ll just move the football somewhere else.

The Welfare is an interesting angle, though it, too, could still be being offset by the additional revenue coming in.

You're assuming that they only vote when they can do it legally. The people I'm talking about were waiting in line to cast their vote for Al Gore and were not in the country six months yet which is disenfranchising our vote because they are not legally eligible to vote in general elections, but they did, they do and they will again. Who will stop them? John McCain? Certainly not Olympia Snowe because I personally made a complaint. Nothing was done. She replied to my complaint telling me that nothing will be done.

I’m not calling for appeasing radical Islam.

in fact I support ending foreign aid to many radical Islamic regimes and would stop propping up the vile regime in Saudi Arabia. This will deal with much of the problem I think.

I support allowing states to introduce voter ID laws. I agree illegal voting is a problem but not on the scale where 2
million people are flipping their votes.

These Muslims are freedom loving, successful, educated and in many cases business owners and they’re voting for a socialist!

I want to win them back in order to do so we must listen to their concerns and present policy solutions.

That doesn’t mean supporting radical Islam or abandoning our beliefs or anything. Just craft policies and message better.

That regime would collapse if we stopped supporting them.

And they’re a big problem as far as radicalizing a whole religion.

The very election I'm talking about is Election 2000. Al Gore won the popular vote and the vote nearly did flip.
