The word for "Chechen" and the word for "Czech" start with the same two letters in Czech, but that's almost the end of the similarities, unless you count that both peoples have had the experience of living under Communist rule.

Confusing Chechnya with the Czech Republic is almost as bad as confusing the Maldive Islands with the Malvinas, as the Dear Leader did.
