Probably collapsed lungs and chest tubes were put in to re-inflate the lungs.He has needles placed around his neck area to re-lease the air trapped.
That would make sense. I believe I read it was to gain access to the thoracic cavity. Also, read that there was some sort of yellow colored disinfectant??? around the surgical opening that was an indicator as well.
