"it was a citizen who alerted police to something very wrong. cops did not find the second suspect."

SO TRUE - but you wouldn't believe all the self-congratulations that have gone on for more than an hour now at WCVB abc-Ch5. Yeah they did mention in passing the citizen who owned the boat, went and looking into it and saw the blood-soaked perp inside - he went inside his home and called police.

But to hear all the crap being broadcast, it was the great work of the allllllll the cops and law enforcement agencies that did such a great job.

Yet they did nothing - until that phone call. But, what else can you expect from so many liberal officials?

LOL -- my take also. Tens of agencies -- thousands of personnel of which a handful actually interdicted the subject and the others mainly occupied themselves watching others or filing misleading reports on the police frequencies (as many of us can attest to). These agencies have no appreciation of the law of diminishing returns -- which probably hits the downslope at around 10-20 officers on the street. In fact, the Israelis would have put these guys away with a handful of specialists and a lot of watching (the only real LE accolades go to the FLIR unit in the helicopter as it saw warmth beneath the boat cover).

Can you imagine if the suspects had disguised themselves with law enforcement uniforms and blended in? They could have walked right out of the city at shift change!
