(Video) Travis County DA sentenced to 45 days for DWI Newsroom 4/19/2013
Sheriff's deputies have taken Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg into custody after a judge sentenced her to 45 days in jail for DWI. Lehmberg pleaded guilty to the charge Friday after she was arrested last weekend. She later issued a formal apology and said she would plead guilty to whatever charge the county prosecutor thought appropriate. She did not ask for a plea deal or any special treatment.
Based on sentencing standards, it was not immediately clear how long she would actually spend in jail. Lehmberg said she hoped to put the matter behind her and continue in office, but there are calls for her resignation.
The Austin American-Statesman released an editorial on Friday calling for her to step down and one resident has petitioned for her removal.
We are in Lago Vista near Lake Travis. Our precinct votes 75% or higher for conservatives. Can’t beat that with a stick.
Here is the dash cam video if you happened to miss it yesterday.

RC is the one who snatches all our rain ;)
I wish. I live on a rock.
So do we! We should meet at the Bluebonnet Cafe sometime. I like to get the Blue Pearl table.
I heard a followup on this the other day. She was driving near Comanche Trail when she crossed into oncoming traffic on 620. She never was on Comanche.
I haven’t been there in a while. I drove by the other day and saw all the construction and the feed store was gone.
U hear about twin!
Yup, just heard it on the top of the hour. Wonder what is going on there.
They.re lebanese. I knew a couple of them. Sounds more like some grandkid or nephew got radicalized and was funding.
I am trying to listen to Jeff for more news on the DA, but he is yapping about urban rail.
lol you should have heard the fight my mom ‘you stop texting and drive!!’ Told her I’m NOT txting, I’m FReeping, which is
WAY more dangerous on the road :)
I hate Jeff Ward.
Here’s one of the comments at the AAS rag on the article:

It was only a matter of time before they were exposed in the Hizballah networks money laundering scheme, besides, Mayor Pro Te Sheryl Cole wants the corner of 7th & Red River for her gift shop for the Waller Creek Riverwalk crowd.
I hate Jeff Ward.
HA!! I don't even answer my cell phone when driving. I chewed out my daughter when she called me and she had to know I was on the PM commute.
I agree with the last part. I hate him too, but wanted to see if there were any updates I may have missed while I had been working in the yard.
Sheryl Cole and the rest of the silly council is the biggest mistake ever made by Austin's low information voters.
Heard anymore on Twin? Not sure who I’ll switch to if it’s terror-related. Maybe Spec’s will buy ‘em out.
Here is what I found online.
FBI, IRS raid Twin Liquors HQ in north Austin
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Authorities aren’t saying why federal and state agencies were conducting a search of a liquor store chain’s corporate headquarters in Central Texas.
The Austin American-Statesman reports ( http://bit.ly/ZOGtPC ) that officers from the FBI, Internal Revenue Service and Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission spent hours Tuesday at the north Austin headquarters of Twin Liquors.
TABC official Dexter Jones told the newspaper the agency was “engaged in a joint operation,” but could not provide details.
Spokesmen for the FBI and IRS said they were “conducting official business.”
Company employees declined to comment.
Twin Liquors is one of the region’s largest liquor retailers, with dozens of stores stretching from Waco to San Antonio.
