Legal question to the Freeper community.

How constitutional is a “shelter in place” or “remain in doors” or “evacuate” order?

Can one legally refuse such an order?
How does one know when such an order is ... an order. As opposed to say a recommendation?
Lets say you were sick and needed to go to the doctor or hospital. Or if you need to go care for a sick relative. What if you needed to pick up medication?

Or the inverse

Government tells you to evacuate, you decide to “bug in” because you have prepped?

I think it's a strong suggestion, but not an official order.

It's the attitude that bothers me. "We've disarmed you, but, we wish you the best. And don't forget to lock your doors!"

You really want to leave your house with SWAT all around and risk getting killed? At a minimum, you'll end up on the ground and in handcuffs before they can sort out who you are.

You call the police emergency line, give them your address and tell them you have a medical emergency. They will get you meds, get you out (if they can, safely), etc. I have worked police dispatch during a situation with a guy barricaded in an apartment building .... black powder bombs, AK, etc. This is how it worked for those in the apartments who couldn't leave & who called for help - mom with sick kid, etc. .... dispatch relayed the situation to the command post & the police made sure they all got help.
