I appreciate your sentiments (or hope which I share) but I don't think it will influence the libs in congress (and some Repubs who wnat to remake the image of the party, however fruitless the effort) from voting for amnesty (by whatever name). And of course, the Demonrats see it, and justly so, as not only a path to citizenship for illegals but as a path to a permanent majority for them. This overrides any concerns they may have for the nation's security.
You’re probably right, It will be interesting to see what impact, if any, this has anything, really. The media will drop this like a hot potato in a few days.
