That is a strange question especially in light of what happened last night. It sounds like the person asking was aware of a current threat from Turkish Nationals.

There may have been chatter about an operation but no specific credible threat before the race. It would explain all of the extra security at the race this year. Just a guess.

Along the lines of what I am thinking. You notice that Swanton gave that guy what I call "the cop look" - the look of suspicion.
