If they have cohorts back in Turkey look out. The Turkish military is constitutionally charged with keeping the government secular, they are very serious and enthusiastic about this.
Probably the cruelest thing they could do would be to deport him. >:)

It’s almost as if they wanted to get caught.
If they are Chechen, they might be second or third generation Chechen living in Turkey, descendants of Chechens who fled to Turkey.
