Let's put it this way: If a terrorist was loose in Tel Aviv, would the Israelis send in 9,000 police officers to perform a chaotic house-to-house search, while every police and government official from Boston to the White House was demanding TV time to talk about how important he was?
Or would they send in a small team of plain-clothes operatives to blend in with the public, follow the evidence, corner the guy, and either capture him or take him out with a quiet head shot in a dark alley?
And if it were deemed necessary to involve the public, would they not tell citizens to arm themselves and secure their own blocks and neighborhoods with their own guns, rather than committing half the Israeli army to do it?
Oh, I forgot - the well-regulated Massachusetts Militia seems to be missing in action...

That’s a thought-provoking post, and I will be giving some serious thought to your perspective.

This isn’t Tel Aviv and as much as I love and support the people of Israel, we are not Israelis.
You need to advertise yourself and hire out... whatever your fees might be, your keen sense of tactics and laser like focus would no doubt have been worth every dime and we could have already wrapped this up.

I really am getting sick of everything in the north east being some how a HUGE disaster. More people died in Texas but that is not making news. Half the midwest is getting flooded but who cares. When a tornado took out an entire small down in Alabama the media yawned. But one armed guy in a big city in the north east and swat teams from 4 states are there. Man hunts for murders happen ALL THE TIME. This over reaction is desensitizing the country to the idea of martial law.

Hopefully somewhere in the midst of mayhem, that small team of plain-clothes operatives is following the evidence and avoiding the limelight.
But maybe that’s wishful thinking.
