MIT issued an emergency alert at 10:48 on Thursday night reporting shots fired on the university campus. The school newspaper reports, "Shots fired near 32 Vassar St (Stata Center), police officer down. Please stay inside." That report is backed up by CBS News's Bonney Kapp who reports hearing "officer down" on the police scanner just before the MIT alert went out. For now, details are scarce, but the suspect is on the loose and considered armed and extremely dangerous.

Suspect #2, convicted for the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, and sentenced to life without parole, was today pardoned by Mass Gov. Mohammed Obama. While in prison, suspect # 2 earned a law degree and a PhD in Middle eastern studies, and helped to counsel fellow Muslim inmates. NYU has announced that he will be appointed an Associate Dean at the Institute for Middle-Eastern Affairs..

Suspect #1 is dead, reportedly blew himself up.
Suspect #2 is still on the lam.
No other suspect has been arrested.
Yet, somehow, NBC reports that the suspects are a.) Turkish/Chechen, b.) have been in the country for about a year and c.) have undergone military training.
Somebody is feeding them information?misinformation?/disinformation?. Somebody who already knows what nobody else seems to know...
Who might that somebody be...???
