His was one of the first names actually fully released (that I saw) because friends were trying to find out if he was ok because they all saw that picture (and his obvious injuries) and his ashen face and his name spread quickly. Most people didn’t seem to think there was much chance he could have possibly survived.
God truly had the right person there at the right time who reacted quickly and got him to help so quickly so he not only got the medical help he needed to allow him to physically survive (though he does have an incredibly long and hard road ahead of him) but also such that he was able to fill in an incredibly significant piece of the story that perhaps no one else would have been able to.
I feel so badly for his family who found out the extent of his injuries because of the pictures online. I can’t imagine that on top of everything else.
And I do really hope that LE is being cautious about all of their protection now - and longer term - in light of this article. (As I do for some of the others who had be fingered as possible suspects earlier, too)
one good thing, if this young man lost his legs below the knew, its easier to fit prosthetics....
