Mediterranean folks have a lot in common. My dad was very dark-skinned and he could easily pass for an Arab. When I was in Egypt with my folks on vacation when I was 7, everyone instantly started talking Arabic to him. They all assumed he was an Arab. And he was 100% Italian. Born in Los Angeles, both his parents from the Naples area. All my uncles were equally dark, and his father - my grandpa - could’ve passed for a stereotypical sheikh.
Those were mistakes made by people who never met anybody from the House of Saud. They are quite easy to spot.
