Suddenly, it seems that the terror attack on our consulate in Benghazi last September may become relevant all over again. Yesterday afternoon, CBS Sharyl Attkisson reported that a number of whistleblowers had emerged to talk to the House Oversight Committee, in news that may have slipped under the radar of other emerging (and non-emerging) developments in the Boston Marathon attack story:
"CBS News has learned that multiple new whistleblowers are privately speaking to investigators with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee regarding the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attacks on the U.S. compounds in Benghazi, Libya."
"The nature of the communications with the whistleblowers and their identities are not being made public at this time. But in response, the Oversight Committee yesterday sent letters to the three federal agencies involved: the CIA, the Defense Department and the State Department."
(snip)
Ever since the initial probe stalled a few months ago, many have wondered why the administration hasnt made the survivors of that night available to House investigators. Some have also wondered why those survivors havent come forward on their own, but if they still work in intelligence agencies, they may not have been allowed to do so. These new whistleblowers may or may not be the Benghazi survivors, but clearly theyre coming from within the intel community and Issas letter strongly suggest that they are pointing fingers upstairs.

No, there’s been something funny going on with the internet all day, and it’s not just FR.
I hope that b@st@rd gets tied up so tight in this he can’t remember what a golf course is, let alone p!ss away his time on one.
Can you imagine putting up with 4 to 8 years of hearing that old battle-axe called “madame president.”
Until that is resolved -- and it will be resolved in the Committee's favor -- the Fast & Furious investigation cannot proceed.
Since he's come into possession of some sealed court records -- which can't be entered into evidence -- Issa probably already knows much of what he'll find in the DOJ records. But, what he finds there, he'll actually be able to use.
Issa is rigidly following due process, rather than grandstanding. Necessarily, that's a slow process. But isn't that what you'd want him to do?
See #64.
Thanks Ernest.
Has the CIA ever lost a lawsuit?
I guess we will have to wait and see.
Exactly.
Well then, if he is a real patriot, he should have come out with what he knew.
Please add my name to the Benghazi ping list. Thank you.
Best regards,
Good; however, at this rate, Obama will be long out of office before they get to the “gotcha point”. At the end of the day, I don’t believe it matters what they find on this guy. If both congressional houses are controlled by GOP I don’t believe they have the courage to impeach him regardless of the evidence. If the truth was known, Obama and Holder should probably be sitting Leavenworth right now. I bet they skate and retire to the good life.
