“Who the heck needs a 1.6 gallon pressure cooker? No one should need anything over one gallon...”

True, nothing stops you from pressure-cooking something, putting it in the refrigerator (or freezer) and the reloading the pressure-cooker to cook more of it. And maybe doing it again once or twice more.

Yea, there will be SOME PEOPLE that claim that they need to cook for a lot of people at once, but we have catering services for that function. There is NO CULINARY JUSTIFICATION for a family to own a large pressure cooker.

The ONLY PURPOSE of a large pressure cooker is so people can load it up with nails and gunpowder and go out and kill people. Large pressure cookers are made to do nothing but kill people - they are weapons of urban warfare.

Be it resolved that henceforth pressure cookers will be limited to 2 quarts each. People that already have larger pressure cookers will have to sell them off in a other country, or turn them in on Pressure Cooker Buyback Day.

We lost an 8 year old child in Boston, and I am sickened by it. If limiting the size of pressure cookers can save ONE CHILD’s life in the future, then it is worth it.

Who knew that they could be reloaded??? I thought that these are foods, they're roasts- potatoes, so the people who have those now, they're going to cook them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity pressure cookers is going to decrease dramatically over time because the foods will have been cooked and there won't be any more available.
