I completely understand where the parents are coming from. (though not all supported this bill) I can’t imagine how bad losing a child to murder would be. Someone needs to gently tell them that they’re being used by politicos who do not have our best interests in mind.
It's understandable that losing a child to murder would cause parents to react in an emotional, knee-jerk way. We expect it from them; that's what they do. But it's incumbent on those who have not lost a child to murder to see things in the clear light of reason.
