scary and sad video
But he’s now famous on youtube!!! Obviously that was far more important to him than the safety of his daughter.
I don’t think he could have known what kind of force that explosion could have had.
Go easy man, he was damn near 1/4 mile from it best guess. In a million years I would have never guessed that was an unsafe distance and I don’t consider myself the typical village idiot. I still can’t believe how powerful that was
He shouldn’t have had his daughter out there but I doubt he or anyone never imagine it to blow up — with that kind of force and from a distant that from appearances looked far back enough
Read my comment to bigtigermike you idiot
Oh please!! You see how far he is from the fire? He didn’t know there was going to be an explosion like that. He didn’t do anything different than anyone else would have done.
Son (I think).
He was far enough away that the average person would feel they were safe.
As an chemical engineer, I would have backed up a few more miles.

"The dad and little boy are ok. they were on the local news last night. west is 55 mi from where i live and it felt like we had a earth quake."
I don't think that allegation against the guy doing the video is fair. He was a far distance away and filming a fire. He may have known it was a fertilzer plant but it is not reasonable to think that at that distance he could have know that he and his daughter were at any risk.
