I know this is not politically correct, but if they stopped acting like they were “rock stars” perhaps they would not be open to more pain.
Newtown, Bean Town, NO town is “safe.”
Life is not “safe” and government cannot make anyone “safe.”
Hope and pray that’s the message learned.

yes, they should have been home. Wallowing in grief. In fact, they should wear black and not be seen in public for the next year.

Well, the circus they’re allowed themselves to join is in rotten taste as well as being downright creepy.

The race started at 10:00-——I had 2 kids than ran it in about three hours(not this year)
The winners came in just after noontime so the bomb was several hours later.

You bet they’re traumatized. Now they will have to add high capacity pressure cookers to their list of banned weapons. Pressure cookers will have to be limited to 2 quarts or less — there go those family dinners.
Micah Kogo of Kenya was second in 2:10:27 with Gebregziabher Gebremariam of Ethiopia third in 2:10:28. Wesley Korir, last years winner, was third in 2:12:30. Jason Hartmann of the U.S. was fourth in 2:12:12.

At the finish at bomb time, it displayed 4:05 and that is about 9 1/2 minutes per mile pace.
Yes,they really slow down.
Most of the official runners have qualified so would probably never be that slow.
