I googled his name, and found that he’s certified in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) as “MECHANIC, AIRFRAME.”
In other words, this supposedly well-connected kid who’s floating around the world studying abroad oddly got (blue-collar) training to work on the mechanicals of AIRCRAFT.

At 20 years old, that may or may not be him. There are a lot of people of the same name on facebook. One of them has an auto repair shop.
"Prominent family" can mean different things. Could be princes. Could be successful car dealers. And families can be pretty big over there.
This guy has Wentworth Tech on his facebook page, not Harvard or MIT, so I suspect his branch of the family's not ultra-rich or ultra-powerful.
