House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers (R-Ky.) told Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel that the military should be doing more to reduce the number of Chinese cyber attacks.
I think we have to take action with China to stop the PLA from bombarding us hourly with these hack attacks, Rogers said. Theyve stolen all sorts of weaponry from us and research, even the F-35. And I would hope that the department would be much more aggressive on the cybersecurity front.
Hagel responded by noting the increased funding for cyber security in the 2014 defense budget and then called it the greatest threat to our security.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Greatest? Uhm...Iranian nukes? North Korea? The cross-your-heart bra? Okay, maybe not that last one.
Bullscoot! Democrats are the BIGGEST threat to our security.
Back in the 1990s, all U.S. sectors were encouraged to tutor the Chinese in all our technology, give away all our secrets. Doing so was made to be considered a step toward world peace. We were undermined from within. Joseph McCarthy might not have been subtle, but he was right about the Communist infiltration of government departments.
Actually the greatest threat to our national security is a completely corrupt and compromised government rotting us out from the inside. Hagel is out to lunch.
At least he didn’t say that Global Warming was the greatest threat.....yet.
Why are we putting such sensitive information on the web to begin with. Me thinks the issue is more US than THEM... wise up..
Can’t believe he doesn’t know that pressure cookers and cellphones are the biggest threat. /s
I thought global warming was the biggest threat to national security. That’s what some toe-sucking admiral said. Or is it muslim outreach...no wait, that was a goal not a threat.
I’m just confused by it all.
And here I am think'n Boston was a bomb.
Pretty sure one of this turd’s admirals is running (or boating) around telling anyone who will listen that global warming is the greatest security threat. Although a crashed computer may be a slightly greater risk than warm air, I would venture that a nuclear bomb would both cause computers to crash as well as warm up the air at a much more dangerous rate.
I’m thinking the worst would be if terrorists somehow got a strain of smallpox. They could hop on a bunch of international flights. It would be all over the globe previous to detection.
‘s whut ah sed.
Hagel is an obama-ass kissing useful idiot who masquerades as a conservative. We finally voted him out and then our state and one of our gop senators wholeheartedly supported the jackass for SoD.
Many of us tried to tell them that this was a mistake, that just because he is from Nebraska doesn’t mean you have to support him. Now it’s time to look at ridding ourselves of the idiots who voted for him.
FUBO, FAD, & down with the democrat party.
Obama’s friends are blowing up women and Children in Boston, and the Chinese are slowing down corporate websites. I can see why the Internet issue is of more concern to Obama’s people.
Actually the greatest threat to our security is our elected politicians and their appointees............
Yep!
