I agree, it seems unlikely that the three Saudi roommates were directly involved as they would have arrested/detained Bada.
That Saudi kid could've been told by the perps to "meet someone there" and ended up realizing he'd be a suspect, unknowing of the bombing beforehand.. Fall guy, if you will. But the link to Islamic extremism is still there, however.
