Bush would have to be given actual status of an ambassador/consular or he would risk being given the Pinochet treatment by the once honest British courts. Remember, they agreed to extradite him on the basis of charges pursued by a Spanish judge, who somehow determined that he had jurisdiction over alleged crimes in Chile. it was a travesty of the rule of law and confirmed, for me, that Britain’s courts had become politicized.

There is not a set of balls that are large enough... not amongst those in Britain that would be willing to do it... there are some bad boys over there but they would refuse such an illegal order. Cheney is going... let them try to take him. No way. I agree with you about their courts but ours are no better. We have a traitor heading our own SCOTUS.
