Possibly interesting (as far as timing)...the bombs went off well after the “elite” runners finished. Most of the foreign competitors (from overseas) are elite runners.
By the time the bombs went off it was mostly all locals who just wanted to finish...and their families and friends in the crowd.
Foreign, "elite" runners are a far cry from the political elites who are destroying our nation and our national sovereignty by inviting everyone in and (trying to) give them free citizenship.
I'm not sure what the relationship is between my post about political elites and your post about elite foreign runners is.
