a booby trapped bicycle, the cars were all cleared from
the area.

Reminds me of Tel Aviv when Hamas brings in small explosives or has people blow themselves up..no evidence that this was a suicide bomber but probably someone just threw a bomb or left something that had a detonator and pressed the button when ready
Could it have been a booby-trapped terrorist disguised as one of the runners?
