“The president does not and cannot take a position on an ongoing trial, so I won’t as well,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters when asked about the trial.

WOW! That's cool!

Hey, was that in effect during the George Zimmerman arrest and arraignment? Wait.... what? No, looks like he had a lot to say about that case.

Hey, I know: That HAD to be in effect when Henry Louis Gates Jr., a professor, was arrested for disorderly conduct!! Wait... what? No, looks like Obama said the police acted stupidly, and questioning the role race played in the arrest.

Okay, so it's obvious Obama is not at all averse to speaking about cases when they are unfolding and in arrest, arraignment, or trial phases.

So one is left to wonder, why can he not comment on THIS one?

Simple, he doesn't want to remind people that he's on the same side as Gosnell, plus he doesn't want the press to ever mention the dude again, and if he commented they might actually have to say something.......
