Try this.

Classic Finishing Techniques

I used the beeswax, boiled linseed oil and turpentine on my K31, but it already had some kind of finish on it. I also used it on my son's M44 after I took off most of the shellac.

Boiled linseed oil,
is that also used on Springfield Armory wood stocks?

I am afraid that bees wax might cloud the iridescent figure, and prevent it from “popping”
The manufacturer provided a test piece of wood to practice finishes.
I will give it a try.
