Report of the Grand Jury (Gosnell the abortionist)
Philadelphia District Attorney ^ | Jan 14, 2011 | R. Seth Williams

Posted on 04/14/2013 4:05:18 PM PDT by fso301

This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors. The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels – and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths. Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it. http://www.phila.gov/districtattorney/pdfs/grandjurywomensmedical.pdf

"Hell" is the hardest doctrine of Christ to accept.

If there is not hell there would have been no need for Christ to come down to earth or die on the cross. We would have NO need of his sacrifice if we could spend eternity with God already. We ALL deserve hell. Every last one of us. No exceptions. Only Christ's sacrifice gives us a shot at getting into heaven.

This report also makes it much easier to understand the persistent reports of serious downstream psychological issues with women who had an abortion. I dare say most of the minority women that passed through Gosnell's clinic are now psychological wrecks.
Decades of silence, tears, sorrow and [intense] shame, entrenched with the pain of your loss... virtually ALL women who have had an abortion (whether it's in the same room with cat pee, feces, and baby blood, or not) are hampered psychologically in one way or another (pro-choice is embittered; they too suffer from their lost children). No one can have their baby's life taken away without resulting pain. There are no joyful post-abortive women; none (unless they repent, and even then, it is a slow healing, but it IS possible, yes!). Mother Teresa (and Fr. John A. Hardon) have given the answer to ending abortion:

Ending Abortion

Let me repeat in the clearest words in my disposal. I would restate our thesis in two propositions. Proposition #1 There is no stopping abortion without an ocean of grace from Jesus Christ. No way will human means stop abortion. #2 The principal source of this grace is the Holy Eucharist. --Fr. John A. Hardon http://www.therealpresence.org/archives/Abortion_Euthanasia/Abortion_Euthanasia_003.htm [emphasis; mine]
-------
Prayer before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is efficacious, and it is the way to secure the graces necessary to put an end to abortion in the world. Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, "If people spent an hour a week in Eucharistic adoration, abortion would be ended."

The heart of the apostolate of every pro-life worker should be a weekly Eucharistic holy hour dedicated specifically to the end of contraception, abortion and euthanasia throughout the world. It is necessary to pray first for the end of contraception because abortion and euthanasia are logical and natural consequences of contraception. If man dares to usurp God's prerogative and determine when life begins, it follows that he will also dare to determine when it ends. http://www.perpetualadoration.org/sf1999.htm --Rev. Victor P. Warkulwiz, M.S.S., N.D. of the Apostolate for Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration (1999)

Thanks for taking on the task of condensing this massive Grand Jury report. A lot of people have a lot to answer for - for decades of abuse of women, as well as the murder of their babies. This includes former governor Tom Ridge.

And thanks for Free Republic so a format exists to actually spread this information.

“This story needs to be at the top, all the time.”

Yes. As a memorial to the blood of the innocents, and do that we never forget.

To all FReepers I say: never grow weary in the fight for life. Let this be your motivation & source of perseverance. Our Blessed Lord makes good come from great evil, and if we cooperate with His Grace, we can use this awful story to expose & end abortion.

Thank You for your hard work condensing this.

My Mom, who is 86 years old and house-bound, watches TV all day. She has the local and cable channels.

I told her about this and she was appalled, but hadn’t heard a WORD about it on the TV.

She also has not heard about the horrible rape and persecution of Christians in Egypt and other Islamic countries. She is like a vast majority of Americans who get their NEWS from the Media, and still thinks we have reporters like Ernie Pyle. It is very hard for her to accept that these things are going on, if they are not mentioned in the Network News.

Mom is Catholic and profoundly Pro-Life, but she TRUSTS the TV, and believes what they tell her. She thinks I am making this stuff up, because it is too HORRIBLE to be true.

I am afraid there are a lot of people like that.

Thank you for this, FSO.

I was really having a hard time with the full document. I could barely get through it without thoughts of ... well, never mind that, I’ll just say they weren’t pleasent thoughts.
