That in itself made me suspect Democrat, but then this article reports that he "was known in the neighborhood for riding around town in his Segway."
Who but a Democrat would do that - especially in Texas?

If he rides a segway and was public employee in Texas, 99% chance he is a democrat. I would say 100%, but he could also be a green party member.

That was my thought, too. However, Kaufman County Observer, a local paper calls him "Republican Justice of the Peace Judge Eric Williams".
