BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- Southern Indiana police arrested a man on suspicion of using an ax to smash windows and damage computers at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Bloomington on Thursday.

Benjamin D. Curell, 27, of Ellettsville, was arrested on preliminary burglary and criminal mischief charges, The Herald-Times reported...

The man allegedly attributed his actions to his religious beliefs, saying Planned Parenthood employees murder babies...

Anti-abortion group Indiana Right to Life issued a statement condemning the actions of the vandal.

"Indiana Right to Life strongly denounces the violence reported this morning against the Bloomington abortion facility," said Mike Fichter, president and CEO of the organization. "Responding to the violence of abortion with physical violence is not behavior that Indiana Right to Life condones."

->The crowning irony is that your own tagline suggest civil disobedience. Monastic prayer alone just doesn’t cut it when your’re faced with a situation like this.

The compassion would be not to hurt anyone else while honoring your conviction on this issue and giving the media the caption of the others are causing the violence.

I can understand his frustrations with abortionist, the controlled leftist mass media propaganda syndicate, political whores, NEOCON corporate warmongers, crooked liberal judges and schools, Homeland Security Nazis, environmental communist, etc. I’d like to see him judged temporarily insane and counseled on biting your tongue and coping to behave as acceptably sane people do until this leftist psychotic criminal society can be reformed peacefully or until people overwhelmingly get out their pitchforks and torches to effect the needed changes.

"Would Jesus have sat off calmly to the side and allowed this to continue?"

Well since God let the sun rise today, no.

One thing Jesus would of done though is admonished the Christian/Roman Catholic leaders for letting the unrepentant run rampant among their flock (Pick your politician/business leader who denies The power but takes on a form of Godliness among the community, thus corrupting the Gospel).

Getting arrested is never smart ,

...Unless your goal was to get arrested, in order to bring attention to a moral crime.

, and this did NOTHING to stop even one abortion,

...Well, it probably stopped all the abortions scheduled for that day, what with the police doing their 'investigating' and all.

all it did was get the local PP new computers and new equipment paid for by insurance and ultimately his church

...Good point, but that is not ALL that it did. For instance, it's posted on F.R. and is adding to the wave the Gosnell case is building.

if he wanted results simply cutting their phone lines would have been more productive and wouldn’t have entailed entering the building...

...Yeah. because crawling around the outside of a building on a ladder at night in the ghetto seems like a good plan.

if he wanted big results he would fundraise to create a pool to pay lawyers out of and develop contacts at the local emergency rooms and trauma centers.

... I think the government already outlawed any FORM of protesting around, in, or near Abortion Clinics. Besides, what you suggest has about a MINUS ONE HUNDRED PERCENT chance of success.

Oh, let’s use your logic...

So how many abortion clinics have YOU busted into and broken equipment in?

If your answer is “zero”, you are doing the cowardly, wrong thing.

ALL pastors should be referencing the Gosnell case in their pulpits this morning; to raise awareness among their congregations.

I wonder if ANY will?

This is pretty much how the 2A Revolution will play out, there won’t be any leadership but the leftists will insist there is one who will be arrested, but of course it will be pretty much 150 million “Lone Wolves” taking a stand to retake control of America from the usurpation and illegally obtained elections that has given America its current despot.

But all the conservative groups will disavow any and all incidents of the “Lone Wolves”.

Just gathering and making noise isn’t gonna cut the mustard anymore, someone will have to cross the line, probably a lot will. Its gonna happen eventually and we should not be so surprised.

This deacon did what he believed was right, I would have done the same, I also know nobody will break down the jail cell to rescue me either.

Something to keep in mind, such should several thousand armed Tea Party member be arrested say at a certain Washington DC area then they should be immediately taken out of incarceration by a superior force. Send the progressives THAT message. A million man march to forcibly release fellow compatriots.

I don’t appreciate your comments though it’s your right to do as you wish as I was thinking being peaceful though committed to our faith. I can say to you that you are not the only person who is upset and torn about this. I am a mother. I hurt. We cannot go into these buildings and destroy property and too, possible injuries and deaths.. He did, it’s done, now. We have to reach the mother’s thinking through God’s love. I think that’s what Jesus would want us to do as a people. The government has this protected; that’s the problem. I or you alone cannot undo that. The women allowing their children to have no life have got to be turned around in their thinking and come to Christ. Our culture/have sex w/ no responsibility, in the era of Bill Clinton caused more damage than any president on this issue alone. He is the poster child for anything goes, no morality, let’s just do it.

They report on this but stay quiet on Gosnell the baby killer.

Because of pattern development.

Most women who have abortions like to 'keep it quiet' to begin with, and some are told they better 'keep it quiet' or else. Young women have abortions and EVERYONE wants it kept a secret, especially those responsible for how she got pregnant. Most of the time, unwanted pregnancy is the result of irresponsible or even illegal behavior.

Our government support of PP clinics has only encouraged that kind of behavior.

NOW, here's the real reason the media has (up to now) largely ignored the case: Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinics are run by ORGANIZED CRIME. OC supports and controls politicians. The media is mostly politically organized coverup of crime.

This clinic has been operating for 30 years. Low expenses on sanitation and equipment, high income , no licenses, cheap staff, no limit abortions. One would have to be blind to not see the appeal to an organized crime syndicate. Getting the government(taxpayer) to pay the high fees (guaranteed income) is the big tell.

This story has got to be discussed in the main news. Women will read about this. Some instantly would see this is a cruel death. This is a sign for us to use this pain these lives to educate people about the child and let them see it's not a convenience issue as the liberals pound into their thinking. We have to spread this to everyone to where it will even be talked about in the poor neighborhoods. I just don't understand why as a people we have not protested in a majority group and shut this nation down (and to heck with our comfy zones) before it's too late for anyone.

The "law" is morally wrong.

Many laws are, these days. That does suggests where the problem lies.

People have to remain calm. It's hard to sit by while these children are being murdered at these centers.

How do you square your tagline with that Good German policy?

Tagline: "If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so."

Disobey how? Once you rule out violence against persons and property, how do you disobey the law? Do you mean, as the liberals say, "If you don't like abortion, don't have one?"

What exactly is one obligated to do, in disobedience to the unjust law?

People have to be strong(calm) (reach deep within) because those images are almost impossible to endure from that trial. It is not wise to go into these buildings and take a risk of hurting others or yourself so the media turns the violence story is coming from the people who support life. The violence is the killing of children. My tag line speaks for itself. If a law is wrong, unjust, I don’t support it nor obligated to do. The government cannot force me to support these killings. What part of that don’t you get.

The big issue that EVERYONE keeps is avoiding is WHY do we have so many UNWANTED pregnancies?

Fornication.

Which has been promoted by the "power behind the throne" of American government for a century.

Look at the themes and plots of early movies from the teens and twenties.

Look at wall street / new world order takeover of schools going back to the Peabody Education Fund, funded by George Peabody (Queen Victoria's "favorite American") with stocks worth several million dollars at that time (not in today's dollar valuation - but in 1867/1869 dollars; today that value would be in the tens of millions).

This was the first large step of new world order's overt but plausibly deniable takeover of American education of children.

One new world order strategy is the spread of vices (making people very easy to control and very distracted), and controlling education is very useful in that regard.

It also allows new world order to expunge their own actions from history that is taught to the general public. Notably George Peabody's role, and consequently role of Great Britain under the financial control of Rothschild interests, in the financing of American farming, industry, railroads and the Gold Rush, several financial panics (which helped the American firms in the orbit of international banking to buy up distressed concerns), the Civil War and the slave trade has been largely wiped clean from history texts that are chosen by public schools.

Of course, control of education also allows for early and constant brainwashing in any thoughts that new world order wishes the public at large to embrace.

The direct financial successor to Peabody, J P Morgan and others in the international banking orbit in America, continued with the new world order program, providing behind-the-scenes control of America at the highest levels, as well as providing key funding for the start of Bolshevism. Thus we see that international communism is nothing but a political front for new world order. This political structure "winds up" being imposed on nations where the population accepts statism relatively easily.

Well, there it is, for all to see and decide what they want to do with the information.

Several people have asked, in various ways, whether there is something in the church's doctrinal position which caused them to call their deacon to repent of his axe attack on the abortion clinic.

Rev. Bayly is a Calvinist. His church is independent but until recently Bayly was an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) serving “outside the bounds.”

Reformed doctrine has a history of nearly five centuries of teaching on this question. There was a day when these questions were not theoretical. Tens of thousands of people were killed in France and the Netherlands — in some cases literally slaughtered in the streets — for being Calvinists.

According to Romans 13, the power of the sword belongs to the “magistrate,” i.e., the government, not to individuals. It is to be used to protect people under their governance. While John Knox taught that lesser magistrates can protect their people by rising up in revolt against higher powers, that authority does not belong to the individual. Individuals have the right to self defense, but do not have the right to vigilante justice.

It is not irrelevant to our own American history that Rev. John Witherspoon, president of what is now Princeton, was a member of the Continental Congress and argued that the thirteen colonies had the right to protect their people against unjust abuse by the British Parliament and King George III. This teaching of the right to revolt by lesser magistrates was used in our own American history to justify the American Revolution. In addition to his political activism in the Continental Congress, Witherspoon was the moderator of the First General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America, a member of the New Jersey legislature, and a key advocate of ratifying the Constitution.

Yes, abortion clinics should be shuttered. But not this way. This deacon has taken unto himself the sword of the civil magistrate with no authorization to do so, and that is fundamentally wrong.

Here is a link to a letter by Gary North to Paul Hill, an excommunicated former OPC and PCA pastor in Florida who killed an abortionist back in the 1990s, which may be helpful.

http://www.reformed.org/social/let_2_paul_hill.html

Here is a link to a discussion of that letter on Free Republic after another abortionist, Dr. Paul Tiller, was killed:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/2270334/posts?page=1#1

I'm not endorsing Gary North's theology in general, but I think North is spot on with this letter written to Paul Hill while he was in jail awaiting his murder trial for killing an abortionist. We have no right as private individuals to take the sword into our own hands which belongs to the state.

If people want to disagree and say that this deacon had the right to do what he did, that is their choice. But it is contrary to the church's doctrine for private individuals to take the law into their own hands, and it is very important that it be understood that this deacon was acting in direct contradiction to the teachings of the church he served as a deacon.
