What can you even begin to say to someone so ‘devout’?
There’s nothing you can say or do that will open that person’s eyes and ears. Their love for him cannot be explained. =
They remind me of the version of Carters and Wakefields on Andy Griffith. Andy asked Carter why he was feudin’ with the Wakefields.
The answer was “Cause he’s a Wakefield.”
“But why are you feudin’ just because he’s a Wakefield?”
“Cause they’re a-shootin’ as us.”
“Reckon why they’re a-shootin’ at you?”
“Cause we’re Carters.”
“Well, reckon why that makes ‘em wanta’ shoot at you?”
“Well, that’s easy. ‘Cause we’re shootin’ at them.”
“Well, why are you stootin at them?”
“Cause they’re Wakefields.”
You could say “Goodbye” and find new friends who are on the same page with you.
Cutting out the deadwood from your life is healthy & opens you up to spend time with great new friends.
Those new friends will be more help when the revolution starts, also! When the bullets start flying, the deadwood will have a remarkable resemblance to a deer in the headlights.
