Our Gram was a wonderful woman. She was strong, dignified and very outgoing. Every week she had her hair styled and a manicure in time for her weekly bridge game with “the girls”. What a sweetie she was. She was an excellent cook, too.
My Grandma was always telling us what ladies did and did not do. I don't think that she ever had a manicure or her hair done. She ran a house and took care of 5 kids while Mom worked.
